For those who wish to make their own percussion cap rolls, an optional plastic dowel is available to assist in making paper tubes to hold 12 caps securely inside the box.

The cartridge box is constructed from durable 3D-printed plastic for strength and longevity while maintaining the appearance and function of the original period accessory. A flat lid with cloth hinge replicates the original cardboard box design. A card sleeve displays an authentic reproduction of the original Smith cartridge box label and holds the box closed until you need it.
